A Community of Families In Nature holds family friendly events with activities geared towards the interests and abilities of kiddos ages 6-11 and their grownups; there's something for everyone in nature though and at these gatherings the whole family is welcome! Event Leaders will make every effort to make sure that children of all ages are engaged. Our events emphasize teachable moments, creative exploration, free-play, and land stewardship activities. Email: [email protected] with any questions! Families on the Farm CFIN's Family Nature Club will generally meet from 1:00 - 3:00 PM once a month for a series that we are calling: Families on the Farm. One Sunday each season, we will gather an hour early and share a potluck or picnic lunch (depending on the season). Our gatherings will involve hands-on projects around the Farm. In addition to experiencing a full growing cycle -- seed starting to harvest, our meaningful land-based projects will be selected to engage families in multiple areas of the Farm with the hope that families will come away from their year at Freetown Farm with a greater connection to land, family, and community. We'll always make time for nature-free play at each gathering! We'll meet the 3rd Sunday of each month for a full year: 03/15, 04/19, 05/17, 06/21, 07/12, 08/16, 09/20, 10/18, 11/22, 12/20, 01/17/2027, and 02/21/2027. It's our dream that you will be able to join us each month, but not a requirement! The cost per family for a full year of fun is $300. Families may choose a variety of payment plans. For Families on the Farm to run, we will require a minimum of 15 yearlong member families - so spread the word!!
