🌱 Grow With Us at Freetown Farm! 🌱
CEI is excited to invite local, mission-aligned organizations to apply for a new pilot program offering seasonal community garden plots at Freetown Farm in Columbia, Maryland. As CEI celebrates nearly 10 years of cultivating communities where people and nature thrive together, we are expanding opportunities for collaboration, learning, and shared care of the land. This initiative is designed to support organizations that will use gardening and food growing to advance:
🥕 Food access and food sovereignty
🌍 Environmental stewardship and resilience
🤝 Social and cultural connection
💚 Physical, mental, and emotional well-being
📚 Experiential education and community learning
Why partner with CEI?
Participating organizations will gain:
• Access to productive farmland in the heart of Howard County
• Space to grow culturally meaningful crops
• Supportive partnerships rooted in equity, belonging, and reciprocity
• Opportunities to strengthen community networks through shared stewardship
Together, we aim to:
✔ Expand land access for community-serving groups
✔ Increase fresh food production for families and programs
✔ Foster belonging and collective care of the land
✔ Build resilient, connected communities
If your organization is interested in harnessing the power of gardening to support people, health, and the environment, we’d love to grow alongside you.
🌿 Applications are now open! 🌿
