Welcome to the Freetown Farm Maker Space!
mak·er·space: noun - a place in which people with shared interests can gather to work on projects while sharing ideas, equipment and knowledge. The mission of CEI's Maker Space at Freetown Farm is to support personal and community resilience by creating a space for people to learn about lost arts and skills that were commonly known several generations ago. One of the core events in our Maker Space is the Repair Cafe.
Here are all the areas where we could use the community's support to develop the maker space: •Financial support - www.flipcause.com/secure/cause_pdetails/OTEwNTE= •Building materials or donated professional services •Tools, books, DVDs, and similar materials for the library •Volunteers to help with the restoration of the space •Volunteers to help manage the space •Volunteers to teach or mentor •Ideas for projects, classes, et cetera •And, last but not least, people who want to come in and have fun! If you would like to volunteer to help with the Maker Space cleanup, you can do that here. If you or anyone you know would like to help with other aspects of setting up the Maker Space, please contact makerspace@cei.earth. |
